The Dolphin Project is hosting an educational and entertaining dolphin program and training workshop via ZOOM.  Training will last approximately 2 1/2 hours and will consist of two parts.

Part ONE - focuses on the coastal environment which is home to the estuarine Bottlenose dolphins. This program will go into detail about the anatomy and behaviors of these amazing animals with video and audio.

Part TWO - covers the protocol of the Photo-ID research surveys and additional information about the dolphins as it relates to the research and surveys.  Training is open to all ages, however, to participate in a survey, you must be at least 16 years of age. Survey Crews consist of a Photographer, a Team Leader, Assistant Team Leader and Skipper.   To participate in research surveys, both parts of the ZOOM program must be completed.

Not all members of The Dolphin Project choose to participate in surveys. Other options of participation include Education Outreach events and serving on various committees. TDP goes on the road presenting to organizations and schools and participates in festivals and works with other like-minded environmental organizations.

RSVP by clicking on the link provided and sending an e-mail to Peach Hubbard at: thedolphinproject@gmail.com.  Once your RSVP has been received you will be provided with the Zoom link.

On rare occasions, the training may be postponed, so if your reservation has not been confirmed, please email: thedolphinproject@gmail.com or text: 9126573927

The Dolphin Project will not be exhibiting this year at the

    Great Ogeechee Seafood Festival

    October 14-16, 2022

(due to an error by the Chamber of Commerce)

    However....

    The Dolphin Project can benefit

if we volunteer to help at the Festival!

If you have time to volunteer to help with festival duties,

TDP will receive $6 for every hour you volunteer!!!!

They need help with admissions, parking, golf cart drivers to deliver ice, ticket sales & ID checks.

This is an easy fundraiser for TDP - with your help. I did it last year and it was fun! I've signed up for shifts on all 3 days this year.

Please register on our website so we know who will be participating.

The Dolphin Project will be exhibiting at the

    SKIDAWAY MARINE SCIENCE DAY

at the UGA Skidaway Marine Science Campus.

on Saturday, October 15th from 12noon to 4:00pm.

This event will feature behind the scenes tours at the UGA Aquarium, touch tanks, visits to the R/V Savannah, reptile displays, oyster hatchery tours and dolphin info from TDP!!! This is a great event for kids of all ages.

TDP needs volunteers to service our booth. We won't have to deal with a tent. We're allowed a minimal display, so setup and pack-up will be comparatively easy. If you can volunteer for any time during the SKIO event, please sign up. TDP Volunteers will be permitted time to check out the other exhibits.

You can also shoot me an email at gadolphin@comcast.net.
