The Dolphin Project is hosting an educational and entertaining dolphin program and training workshop via ZOOM.  Training will last under 3 hours and will consist of two parts.

Part ONE - focuses on the coastal environment which is home to the estuarine Bottlenose dolphins. This program will go into detail about the anatomy and behaviors of these amazing animals with video and audio.

Part TWO - covers the protocol of the Photo-ID research surveys and additional information about the dolphins as it relates to the research and surveys.  Training is open to all ages, however, to participate in a survey, you must be at least 16 years of age. Survey Crews consist of a Photographer, a Team Leader, Assistant Team Leader and Skipper.   To participate in research surveys, both parts of the ZOOM program must be completed.

Not all members of The Dolphin Project choose to participate in surveys. Other options of participation include Education Outreach events and serving on various committees. TDP goes on the road presenting to organizations and schools and participates in festivals and works with other like-minded environmental organizations.

RSVP by clicking on the link provided and sending an e-mail to Peach Hubbard at: thedolphinproject@gmail.com.  Once your RSVP has been received you will be provided with the Zoom link.

The Dolphin Project will be exhibiting again at

    COASTFEST

sponsored by Georgia Department of Natural Resources and NOAA

at Mary Ross Waterfront Park in Brunswick GA

on Saturday, April 22nd from 10:00 to 4:00

This awesome event is great for kids of ALL ages. It features hands-on with wildlife, historic weapons demonstrations, colonial re-enactments, native Indian dances, Georgia Sea Turtle Center, food venders, fish rodeo, archery, the OCEARCH ship, and many informative exhibits about our coast, including The Dolphin Project!

TDP volunteers are needed to service our exhibit. If you can spare a few hours to work a shift, it would be greatly appreciated. The tent and electricity are provided (YAY!!!) so setup and pack-up will be minimal for this event. We are allotted a 10'x10' space which will give us plenty of room for our displays. I'll be there by 7:30-ish to unload.

If you can help for a few hours or more, please register and I'll contact you. You're welcome to bring a friend! You can contact me at gadolphin@comcast.net

    Gratefully,

    Peach
