TDP will notify its members of environmental issues and upcoming legislation affecting our coasts, wildlife and waters... and relating to our quality of life. Check our CALENDAR for upcoming events. While we advocate for the health of the dolphins and their environment, TDP is not political and does not lobby.

Our coast is fragile. The Georgia and South Carolina coast has over 1/3 of all the salt marshes on the eastern US seaboard. These salt marshes protect the mainland, acting like a sponge against tidal surge and storms. Our estuaries are the birthing ground or nursery for over 70% of the fishery in the North Atlantic Ocean. The coast of Georgia is the primary birthing area for the Atlantic Right Whale - a species of whales that is endangered. Protecting our coast is critical to our economy, our quality of life and hte survival of the wildlife who call this coast their home.
